Born in Harajuku. Shaped by Tokyo street culture. Built by a global team that shares one belief — that fashion is at its most powerful when it travels.
Kriff was founded in 2018 in a small atelier on a Harajuku backstreet, five minutes from Takeshita Dori. The name is borrowed, invented — a sound that doesn't belong to any one language, chosen because our clothes were never meant to belong to one city.
Our first collection — twelve pieces, hand-finished — sold out in three days to shoppers from Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, and Shanghai. From that moment, we knew Kriff was never going to be a local label. It was going to be a Japanese sensibility, worn everywhere.
Today, our collections are informed by the same principles that have shaped Japanese design for centuries: restraint, craftsmanship, and the quiet confidence that comes from doing one thing extraordinarily well. We design in Tokyo, finish in Kyoto, photograph in Osaka — and dress customers in Seoul, Paris, London, New York, Manila, and beyond.
We remain independent, privately held, and deliberately slow. Every seam is considered. Every colour is chosen. Every garment is designed to outlast the season.

The Japanese word for an artisan who devotes themselves to their craft without compromise. Every garment we release is a product of patience, precision, and pride. If it isn’t worthy of the Kriff label, it doesn’t ship.
Beauty in restraint, in imperfection, in the unadorned. We don’t chase trends. We design pieces that look better worn-in than brand new, and feel more like you three years from now than the day you first bought them.
Harmony between tradition and modernity. Between Tokyo and the world. Between the team member answering a customer in Manila and the designer shaping next season’s collection in Kyoto. One brand, many hands, one standard.

"A garment should quiet the room, not fill it. If someone remembers your coat before they remember your face, we have done our job wrong."
We’re hiring across customer service, order fulfillment, and brand operations. Fully remote. Paid in USD. No prior fashion industry experience required — just care, taste, and a love for doing things properly.
